Our Mission
The intent of the NAACP Chapter at Texas Woman’s University is to educate, uplift, and unify the students of Texas Woman’s University. Through various programs, service projects, and positive affairs, we aim to equip students with the necessary skills to survive and flourish as young professionals, as well as develop into effective and positive leaders. We want our students to be informed, compassionate, and socially-aware young men and women devoted to ensuring justice and equality of opportunity for all individuals, regardless of their race.
Our Objective
As a college chapter of NAACP, we plan to hold informative programs that discuss politics, equal justice within the law, voter empowerment, education and opportunities outside the college realm. The NAACP will hold events and invite speakers to touch on issues that affect students upon graduation.
Our AffliationThe NAACP college chapter at Texas Woman’s University is an affiliate chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, Youth and College division. The organization will sponsor programming and participate in and plan events in accordance with the goals of the National Chapter of the NAACP and maintain regular correspondence with the national and local headquarters of the Association.
